Public engagement

• Social innovation in sport competition: Partner with GIRSO and University of Minnesota graduate students during the academic year as student groups are mentored by expert faculty to use research, social innovation, and technical project implementation to address a community or organizational social priority.
• Strategy capstone projects: Collaborate with University of Minnesota undergraduate students on developing and implementing an innovative strategy to address a particular organizational challenge.

• A living lab for the Twin Cities: This project seeks to collaborate with sport organizations and other experts within the Twin Cities and beyond to begin envisioning the creation of a sport space where youth can safely participate in sport, education, and socialization activities using a sport-for-development methodology.
• Graduate student support: GIRSO is a people-centric institute with big aspirations for the future that include recruiting the best and brightest future leaders. To compete, we need to offer competitive funding packages for the academic year and summer.
